Check the cross’s newly exposed lane after each departure. A known-color vehicle may offer a more predictable continuation than the nearest mystery entry.
If the queue stalls
If an unknown color occupies a needed bay, review the previous known-color alternatives. A large green band does not mean every other color can safely wait.
